Tourism and current Demographic Trends

The thesis focuses on tourism and current demographic trends. The main aim is to analyse the current situation of the ageing population and to explain why tourism is important for the country's economy. The approach of the Czech Republic and other selected European countries, namely Finland, Italy and Scotland, is compared. Using a questionnaire survey, unstructured interviews and informations from official sources of each country, case studies were developed and finally the approach of each country to the issue under study was evaluated.

Impact of leisure and social activites on quality of life among erderly in Europe - SHARE data analysis Abstract Due to demographic aging, the quality of life of an increasing proportion of seniors is becoming more important than ever. According to activity theory and the concept of active aging, active life is a way to experience good old age. The diploma thesis focuses on the impacts of leisure and social activities on the quality of life of elderly over 65 in 17 European countries. Sixth wave data from The Survey of Health, Aging and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) from 2015 and the easySHARE panel dataset are analyzed using binary regression analysis and multilevel modeling using binary regression analysis. The relationship of 11 selected activities, which were divided for the needs of this thesis into social, individual activities and activities aimed at helping others, and quality of life is controlled for socio-economic, demographic and health characteristics. Quality of life is meassured using the CASP-12 indicator. For social and individual activities, active elderly have a higher chance of a high quality of life (CASP-12 score> 39) than inactive. Current demographic issues of Singapore´s economy

This bachelor thesis is dealing with demographic issues of Singapore. The main goal of this thesis is to find which demographic issues are currently present in Singapore, to reveal the causes of these issues and to analyze the results and solutions, that have been brought by the government. Another goal is to analyze development of Singapore´s economy between years 2005 and 2015. Thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with particular characteristics of Singapore´s economy and the second one is focused on demographic development and issues.

The thesis contains the summary of solving issue, where the importance of tourism of seniors is justified. The thesis indicates that the ageing of population is important demographic trend, which leads the situation in tourism. The demarcation of the surveyed area and its analysis was realized. Thanks to the questionnaire research among seniors the research was conducted and with help of interviews with experts from tourism and senior welfare the information was found out. The synthesis of acquired information was realized. On the basis of this the submissions of improvement of situation in choice area were treated. In this thesis the assets of the submissions are presented.
Projection of Population of the Czech Republic with Different Variants of Net Migration

The theme of bachelor thesis is based on the projection of population of the Czech Republic with different variants of net migration. The goal is to show whether and how migration is able to prevent population decline and possibly affect the aging of population. Besides the projection and description of its calculation, the thesis deals with the current development of international migration in the Czech Republic since 1993 and its institutional framework. Emphasis is placed on immigration to the Czech Republic, the structure of immigrants by sex, age and citizenship is analyzed.
Social system in Cuba

The thesis deals with the Cuban system of social security. The work focuses on general operation of social systems in Latin America and compares them with the Cuban social system. Thus, the thesis aims to explore the system of social security in Cuba, to describe its advantages and disadvantages and to show why the system is sometimes considered as more effective then other systems in this region. Attention has also been paid to the ageing of the population and how Cuba deals with this problem.
